1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Yaeger's Self Defense of America website and services, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

Yaeger's Self Defense of America provides martial arts instruction, self-defense training, and related educational services including:

  • Kids Program (Ages 5-10)
  • Teens Program (Ages 11-16)
  • Adults Program (Ages 17+)
  • Thai Kickboxing classes
  • Anti-bullying programs
  • Special events, tournaments, and seminars

3. Registration and Membership

Enrollment Requirements

  • Participants must meet minimum age requirements for their chosen program
  • Minors (under 18) require parental or guardian consent
  • All participants must complete registration forms and liability waivers
  • Medical conditions that may affect participation must be disclosed

Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

4. Payment Terms

Fees and Billing

  • Membership fees are due at the time of enrollment or as agreed upon
  • Payments can be made via cash, check, or credit/debit card
  • Late payments may result in suspension of class privileges
  • Returned checks may incur additional fees

Refund Policy

Membership fees are generally non-refundable. Exceptions may be made for medical reasons with proper documentation or relocation outside the service area. Refund requests must be submitted in writing within 30 days.

5. Attendance and Conduct

Class Attendance

  • Students are expected to attend classes regularly
  • Notify instructors in advance if unable to attend scheduled classes
  • Make-up classes may be available based on instructor availability
  • Excessive absences may affect progression and belt advancement

Code of Conduct

All students, parents, and visitors must:

  • Show respect to instructors, staff, and fellow students
  • Follow all safety rules and instructor directions
  • Wear appropriate training attire (uniform/gi when required)
  • Maintain good hygiene and cleanliness
  • Refrain from aggressive, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior
  • Use techniques learned only for self-defense and within the dojo

Violation of conduct rules may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.

6. Assumption of Risk and Liability Waiver

Martial arts training involves physical activity and inherent risks including, but not limited to:

  • Bruises, sprains, strains, and muscle soreness
  • Accidental contact injuries
  • Falls and impact injuries
  • Overexertion and fatigue

By participating in our programs, you acknowledge these risks and agree to assume full responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur. You release Yaeger's Self Defense of America, its instructors, staff, and facility owners from any liability for injuries sustained during training, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

7. Medical and Emergency Procedures

  • Participants should consult a physician before beginning training
  • Disclose all relevant medical conditions, allergies, and medications
  • Provide accurate emergency contact information
  • In case of injury or medical emergency, staff will provide first aid and contact emergency services if necessary
  • You authorize staff to seek medical treatment on your behalf in emergencies

8. Photography and Media Release

By participating in our programs, you grant Yaeger's Self Defense of America permission to photograph, video record, and use your or your child's image and likeness for promotional purposes including website, social media, and marketing materials. If you do not consent, please notify us in writing.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and curriculum materials, is the property of Yaeger's Self Defense of America and protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.

10. Termination of Membership

Voluntary Termination

Members may terminate their membership by providing 30 days written notice. Fees paid for the current billing period are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.

Involuntary Termination

We reserve the right to terminate membership immediately without refund for violations of these terms, misconduct, non-payment, or any behavior that threatens the safety or well-being of others.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yaeger's Self Defense of America shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services or website.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Harris County, Texas, except where prohibited by law.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
